A-Rod HR gets Yanks past Torre's Dodgers (AP)
Alex Rodriguez didn't join the pre-game parade of New York Yankees greeting Joe Torre during batting practice. He communicated through his bat, hitting a home run that won the game against his former manager. CC Sabathia won his fifth consecutive start with eight sharp innings and New York beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 on Friday night in the opener of their second-ever regular season series.
