Kinsler's time off benefits ankle

Ian Kinsler was sidelined for over a month with a strained left groin muscle. Now that he is off the disabled list and playing again, he found that the time off proved to be a big help to his right ankle.

Healthy Cruz set to return, start Monday

With his left hamstring healthy, Nelson Cruz will start in right field Monday night in Kansas City. He'll come off the 15-day disabled list on time — something that didn't happen after his previous stint, when he missed 21 games because of the same strained left hamstring injury.

Kinsler to begin rehab games on Saturday

Second baseman Ian Kinsler has been cleared to begin a medical rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Frisco on Saturday. Kinsler has been on the disabled list since July 29 with a strained left groin muscle.

Cruz's return close; more time for Kinsler

Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz, on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring, is expected to be sent out on a medical rehabilitation assignment on Thursday and should be activated on Monday.
