Kinsler to begin rehab games on Saturday

Second baseman Ian Kinsler has been cleared to begin a medical rehabilitation assignment with Double-A Frisco on Saturday. Kinsler has been on the disabled list since July 29 with a strained left groin muscle.

Nippert, Kinsler continue to progress

Dustin Nippert is scheduled to pitch one inning for Double-A Frisco on Friday night. Nippert has been on the disabled list with a head injury since July 20 after getting hit by a line drive in Detroit.

Cruz's return close; more time for Kinsler
